Lanvin Arpège Enamel Clutch

lanvin_arpege-enamel-clutch When one thinks of Lanvin, the first few things that will come up include Alber’s adorable face, the porcelain doll figures, their distinct blue boxes with black ribbons and of course, Arpège, one of the French house’s most iconic fragrances that was created in 1927.

Paying homage to the sensual spherical ribbed body that’s topped off with a circular gold cap, Alber Elbaz created the Lanvin Arpège Enamel Clutch that stands at least 16 cm tall by 11.5 cm at its widest. Looking almost exactly like the fragrance bottle save for the slinky wrist sling, it probably costs as much as it does (GBP2075) because of the fact that it’s enamel (the fusion of a special powdered glass to metals, which can’t be an easy process), its plush velvet-lined interior and of course, the fact that it’s indeed more than just a sexy clutch.

It’s an icon too.
