Cartier Envelope Bag
It may seem a tad early to be blogging about a bag that will only be released in Singapore come April 2013, but I thought it was apt on two counts. Firstly, the Cartier Envelope Bag comes in the House’s signature red, which also happens to be the colour of love, and given how today is Valentine’s Day, I think you do know where I’m heading with this one.
Secondly, I love how it’s designed to look like an envelope, reminding one of love letters received past and present. More importantly, it reinforces Cartier as the purveyor of all things love, which I do think is pretty clever.
Measuring 24 cm by 17 cm, the goatskin leather bag comes finished with beautifully understated gold-tone hardware embellishments. On the interior you’ll find it lined in suede, along with a zip pocket and a large smartphone compartment. On the back there’s a slot compartment, great for your cards, or for the more romantic, love notes from your significant other.
Priced at SGD1845 (which is rather affordable given how much most things cost these days), you’ll also find the Envelope Bag in Black and Mahogany. Not as romantic, but no less pretty.
