Chanel Vintage Quilted Flap

Having spotted many an elegant Parisian woman with something vintage from Chanel just reinforces what I’ve always believed. Every woman should have a hand-me-down piece in their collection, and just because. The tough part is, however, finding yourself one, especially if you’re not one of those who have mothers with old Chanel bags you can ‘borrow’.

Still, hope’s not all lost. My-Wardrobe, for instance, has recently partnered with Vintage Heirloom to offer vintage bags on their online site, and one of the pieces that caught my eye was this one, quilted with an envelope front flap closure. In classic hues of black with hardware in luscious gold and interior in deep red, it’s a definite conversation starter and a piece that you can always hand down yourself.

Priced at around GBP2170, expect the usual slight imperfections that come with vintage pieces, compliments from complete strangers and many more years of use.
