Louis Vuitton + Yayoi Kusama Collection (2nd Drop)
With the 2nd drop of the Louis Vuitton + Yayoi Kusama slated to be launched in Singapore come 7 September 2012, consider this the be all and end all post of most of the new bags from the collaboration.
Firstly, the Monogram Waves Neverfull MM which will come in 3 colours, Red, Yellow and White. Priced at SGD1930 each, they are also the only totes in this collab.
Next, we’ve got the Monogram Town Speedy, which you’ve already seen. Retailing for SGD1530, it will be available in 5 colours, namely Blue, Green, Red, White and Yellow.
Honestly, they are all lovely, so it really depends on what you like but personally, I’m gunning for the ones in Blue and Yellow.
Then there’s the Monogram Pumpkin Dots Keepall Bandouliere, which will only be available in Green or Red and will retail for SGD2910 each. Last but not least, the Monogram Pumpkin Dots Papillon, SGD1920 each and available in Red, White and Yellow.
And now for the SLGs. All in all you’ll find 2 wallets, 2 agendas, a cosmetic pouch and a key holder up for grabs, some of which are featured in the montage above. The Monogram Pumpkin Dots Zippy Wallet (available in all 5 hues) will retail for SGD1200 each, while the Monogram Waves Insolite Wallet (in Red, Yellow and White) will sell for SGD1050.
The Monogram Pumpkin Dots Cosmetic Pouch (the small rounded one you see above) comes in 3 colours (Blue, Red and Yellow) and is priced at SGD580 each, while all 5 key holders will go for SGD315 a pop. 2 in Monogram Town (shown above), along with 3 more in Monogram Pumpkin Dots, which you can view by clicking here.

Tough one. If I have to pick just one for myself, I probably go for the one in Yellow. Or Red.

I can honestly say the Kusama collection is simply not my taste and I won’t be buying anything.
I’m on a tight budget, so I’m getting either the pouch or the zippy wallet. That’s it.
I don’t understand why they DIE-DIE have to print such a ‘busy’ art piece on a busy monogram. I personally think it’ll look super on Epi leathers.
Because more is more? LOL! But yes, I get what you mean with regards to using Epi instead.
coz if you just put it on a smooth leather or Epi leather, it will just look like a Kate Spade Polka Dot Bag. it’s essential that the stamp of Vuitton and the stamp of Kusama is well represented (just thinking out loud)! and we all know Marc Jacobs is never afraid of full-on maximalism!

I know I might offend quite a bit of people with this but the reason why they print it on monogram is that they know these are the prints that would sell-out to the masses who wants people to know they are carrying a LV.
More so this is a 2nd collection, could have used the chance to explore other leather options.

I think this 2nd wave is way better than the first one! Loving the totes from it.
