The only reason I haven’t blogged about the bags from Marc by Marc Jacobs lately is because I’m not loving their seasonal bags as much these days. In other words, they are either too trendy or wacky/quirky to be used beyond one season.
What I am still loving are the mainstay collection pieces from the Classic Q range, like the Groovee (a bowler) and the Hillier (a hobo), which looked good then and are still relevant today.
Straight to the point, fuss-free and reasonably priced are all hallmarks of bags from this range, and another bag that I’m now liking is the Lil Ukita, which is also from the Classic Q collection. Made of textured cow leather, the 33 cm by 26 cm bag is good over the shoulder, across the body or simply hand-held.
Good for work and play, this is also the one I recommend for those entering the workforce, especially since it will only set you back by around SGD530 if you get it via Shopbop. Available now in Black, Hazelnut and Mink, all 3 colours are more than appropriate for work.
If you want something brighter, head over the Net-A-Porter where they’ve got it in Coral, and another in Brown. Priced at GBP350 a pop, they are a tad more expensive after conversion at SGD680 or so each.
And if anyone out there has any other great entry-level work bags to recommend, do feel free to share by leaving a comment.
