Update – Louis Vuitton + Yayoi Kusama Collection
You’ve seen the look book images and the scarves, now have a quick look at the bags, shoes and accessories from the Louis Vuitton + Yayoi Kusama collection that will be available worldwide come July 2012.
Besides the Lockit (shown above) which is basically Monogram Vernis covered with dots, you’ll see more dotted bags here, which includes the same Lockit but in different colours, as well as a larger version that’s trimmed in patent leather.
Other than the Lockit, you’ll also find the Papillon, the Pegase and the Pochette Accessories in this limited edition collection.
Besides the bags, the collection also consists of SLGs like wallets, agendas and coin purses, along with bangles, sunglasses and timepieces.
Then there are stoles, scarves and shoes which include the pumps above, as well as ballerina flats. Which pretty much means you’ll find something from this massive line-up that’s to your liking, and hopefully, your budget as well.
Personally I’m loving the little pouch in front of the Lockit in the first image, which is pretty unique. That, and this coin purse, which is stellar in this colour combination. What will you be putting your name on the wait list for?

As much as I love and have collected Kusama’s work for many years the translation into LV products looks cheap and tacky.
Maybe ok for Minnie Mouse but not for a sophisticated woman.
