If you have walked past any Loewe boutique recently, you would have most likely seen a display of brightly-hued flowers, each illustrated with a happy, smiling face. A collaboration with Madrid-based artist Antonia Ballester, his works are often optimistic and naive, often childlike with a sense of wonderment and awe.
The silk scarves in this special collection are no different. Designed by Ballester, each scarf is heavily emblazoned with flowers and birds, which often feature heavily in his own works. Available in 2 sizes (90 cm by 90 cm and 130 cm by 190 cm), prices range from around SGD500 to SGD1000 apiece.
Also fascinating is the accompanying video, which explains the collaboration, and by way of the animation, shows you how the design was created, petal by petal, feather by feather.
And yes, the scarves are now available at Loewe boutiques in Hong Kong and Singapore.
