J.Crew Edie Attaché
You are graduating soon and will be starting employment in the near future, so the last thing you should do is to splash out on a designer bag for work you can’t yet afford. Or you work in an environment where you can’t (or shouldn’t) be flaunting expensive designer bags.
If the scenarios sound like situations you’re in, here’s my recommendation, the J.Crew Edie Attaché.
Priced at SGD520, the all-leather bag measures 35.5 cm across by 27 cm, the perfect size for all your work essentials, including your iPad, makeup pouch and then some. Carry it in your hand, over your shoulders (the handles have a 12 cm drop) or even sling it via its removable shoulder strap.
Available in 4 different colours, the one in Pecan is the most obvious choice if you’re going to use it for work, though I don’t think anyone will be shocked if you turned up with the ones in Flame or Green either. Get it online via J.Crew where they do ship internationally, or try Net-A-Porter, they stock the one in Green.
Most importantly, the rectangular-shaped bag is fuss-free, topped off with the most minimal of gold-tone hardware. She’s simple and she’s straightforward. Just don’t call her a Plain Jane.
