3.1 Phillip Lim 31 Minute Bag

It’s big, it’s roomy and it’s slouchy. Guys, meet the 3.1 Phillip Lim 31 Minute Bag, the newest addition to my collection which I picked up via Shopbop last week. Having wanted it for the longest time, I wasn’t convinced it was big/roomy/slouchy enough till I spotted someone with it. And boy did it look good.

Measuring almost 40 cm across by 33 cm, it’s basically made up of 3 components: black cowhide leather on the back, acid washed denim on the front, as well as a strip of shiny metallic leather running along its base. You can clutch it under your arm, or fold it into half if you need it to be less obtrusive. You can also slip your hand into the handle at the back, which guarantees it not slipping off no matter how clumsy you are.

You can use it as a clutch, or as a tech case, with a base that’s wide enough to accommodate a 13″ MacBook at least. Or your iPad.

Retailing for USD395 online at Shopbop (that’s just SGD500 after conversion), my only regret is missing out the current  sale, where I could have saved another USD50.
