Givenchy Maison Tote In Khaki Canvas

A new arrival you’ll find at Givenchy Paragon is this: the Givenchy Maison Tote which first made her debut on the runway in Paris. An unexpected beauty (I wasn’t convinced myself till I saw her in person), she’s part class, part grunge and totally refreshing as far as bags are concerned.

All canvas with the exception of the long shoulder chain that you can either wear over the shoulder or across the body, there’s a little surprise on the inside of the bag. Peep inside and you’ll find it partially lined with wolf fish skin, which is also used elsewhere in the collection including RTW, bags and accessories.

Retailing for around SGD1500 or so, it’s not a bag that will have many fans, but it will surely be appreciated by those who understood Ricardo Tisci’s aesthetic as far as the S/S12 collection was concerned.

Before I sign off, I’ve been getting some emails with regards to buying authentic Antigona and Nightingale bags online from sites based in Singapore or around the region at slightly lower than retail prices.

Eranzi, which is based in Malaysia stocks both styles in different colours and sizes, so do have a look. And before you commit, do make sure you find out about shipping costs (if any) and if there’s a return policy in case you change your mind.

the brand emblazon-ing on the canvas body killed it; basically, just the oddball-but-totally-cool combination between the simple lines of the canvas and the rock-chic-ness of the thick-ass gold chain would’ve sold me already.

but they had to screw that over with the labeling on the bag. bummer.

Flip is over and use it. The other side should be free of any scrawling.

Canvas totes are everywhere and those emblazoned with a brand name I associate with freebies or gifts with purchase, especially those that come with fragrances or are given out at runway shows. This bag, therefore, has quite the startling price tag.
