Corto Moltedo Jenny Medium Tote
I had the privilege of checking out Italian brand Corto Moltedo yesterday, who happen to be in town for a 3-day trunk show featuring the best of what they’ve got to offer. From clutches to totes and everything else in-between, it was clear that founder Gabrielecorto Moltedo (whose parents founded Bottega Veneta, by the way) takes pride in his work, each piece well-thought out, stylish yet functional and finely crafted as well.
One of the bags that caught my eye (and there were many that did), was this, the Corto Moltedo Jenny Medium Tote. Available in different finishes (this one features perforated leather), the Jenny measures 32 cm by 30 cm, a great size for those looking for a tote that’s roomy enough yet not too bulky.
Amazingly lightweight, it’s lined in blue leather on the inside which offers an interesting contrast. It also comes with an additional pouch that can be used together (or separately) for your smaller personal essentials, which I thought was a nice touch.
You can buy it online via Corto Moltedo where they do ship internationally, where it costs around EUR745 after the 21% VAT rebate before shipping and taxes.
All in all, it’s fun and functional, in the colour that’s just perfect for summer in Singapore, which is pretty much all year round. Which also means you’ll definitely be making the most of this tote.
