This isn’t the first time this particular bag has been featured on this blog, but with S/S12 in full swing, I thought I’d reintroduce it for those who may have missed it the first time round.
From the S/S12 Burberry Prorsum runway collection, the Burberry Prorsum Raffia Whipstitch Hobo (SGD3995) is what I like to refer to as the many-things-happening-all-at-once bag, but somehow in spite of that, all the different elements still manage to come together beautifully.
From the whipstitch detailing on the edges of the leather trim to the perfect combination of colours like maroon, cream, ink blue and black, it’s also one of the most eye-catching bags from the British house this season. Available in other colours and finishes including those with alligator trim or weaved raffia bodies, I probably only picked this one because I could see myself using it. It is big enough after all, measuring 41 cm by 40 cm.
And speaking of whipstitch, here’s something else from Burberry worth checking out. Priced at SGD600 a pop are these whipstitch tortoiseshell sunnies, each pair oversized with contrasting threaded leather that’s both rather innovative and more importantly, attractive. Personally, I’m adoring the pair in the middle in green with whipstitch detailing in tan, but these are perhaps best left to the ladies.
Check them all out at your local Burberry store, or buy them at Burberry’s online store.
