Nary a day passes when I don’t have a new video to share here, but today’s video promises to be different. Besides showcasing the upcoming Longchamp Le Pliage Cuir collection that’s due in Singapore come April 2012, it also features dancing models, but more on that later.
For those of you who are a little confused, think Le Pliage, but in leather. Absolutely supple and almost baby bottom soft, the bags in the Le Pliage Cuir collection are also foldable like its predecessor and come in a wide variety of shapes (5 in all) and colours (there’s a total of 8 lovely hues).
Priced between SGD349 and SGD1067 (the boys could check out the travel-sized one that’s perfect for everyday use), the bags you see above in the ad campaign retail for SGD673, which isn’t so bad for something that’s made of quality leather, comes with a shoulder strap and that can be folded away when not in use.
Did I also mention you’ll be spoiled for choice as far as the colours are concerned?
Now back to the video, which was directed by Blanca Li for Longchamp in New York City. Featuring models Coco Rocha and Lissa Winkler, as well as professional Lido dancer Alexa Level, they break out in dance along the streets as they bump into one another carrying the smallest Le Pliage Cuir handbag in colours like Cyclamen, Orange and Red; it’s worthy of their very own musical.
It’s fun, it’s irreverent, and the girls do look like they’re having the time of their lives.
UPDATE: The Longchamp Le Pliage Cuir collection will be released this Friday (13 April 2012) at Longchamp boutiques in ION Orchard, Marina Bay Sands and Paragon. Prices will start from SGD673 for the smallest handbag all the way to SGD1067 for the largest travel-sized one.
