3.1 Phillip Lim 31 Hour Collection

January 5, 2012

On her way to being a minimalist classic, the 3.1 Phillip Lim 31 Hour Tote is fast becoming an icon in her own right. Designed with just the right ounce of cool, the collection has been expanded for the S/S12 collection, which will now include a weekender, a portfolio, as well as a cosmetic zip clutch.

Androgynous in its make (and detailed with the most minimalist of hardware), the collection should also appeal to the guys as well, especially the weekender which will also do nicely as a work/gym bag.

Watch the video and have a look at all the different pieces in action, especially the portfolio which now ranks high on my own personal wish list. No word yet on when the collection will be formally launched in Singapore (or their respective retail prices), so do stay tuned for more updates.

UPDATE: The prices in SGD are in! For the 31 Hour Tote, they range from SGD1060 for the one in denim to SGD1360 for the polished leather versions in dual colours. The portfolio will retail for SGD760 (available in Navy or White), while the cosmetic zip clutch will sell for between SGD460 and SGD560.

I love the portfolio! Hope to know the price soon!

Seen the portfolio in Club 21 Men’s. Intriguing design but awkward to carry around. The video only shows the clean, handle-less side.

  • Slut4Style says:

Also, as an owner of the 31 Hour Tote, the straps do not fit over the shoulder. You would have to carry it by the handles or as an improvised clutch in the photo above. Full leather plus contents of the day equals no joke. Pity though, the clean aesthetics would really have made it a new classic.

Just wanted you to know that, if the 31 Hour bag really becomes widely popular, I think the fact that you featured it probably had a big part to play.

I, for one, knew about it only because of you! In my hectic schedule nowadays, the only times I flip through a fashion magazine is when I’m getting a foot massage (which isn’t often). Therefore it is not difficult to conclude that my only source of fashion news on the go is you and your Facebook fan page. I can see, and appreciate, your effort and passion in doing all that you do.

So, thank you, stay fashion forward and Happy New Year! Just wanted you to know that I enjoy your site very much! (FB)

Thanks Slut4Style… I am eyeing the 31 Hour Tote as my everyday bag for work… now that you mention the strap can’t go over the shoulder, gotta give it a miss… sigh… really love the dual white-black design… but too bad, it doesn’t fit the requirements…
