Swims Loafers
Made of rubber and nylon but resembling nothing like Crocs (thank Heavens) are the loafers from Swims, a Norwegian-based company that specialises in products designed to keep you dry or waterproofed (yes, they sell umbrellas and parkas too).
Besides being rather stylish (though I really need to see them in person to be 100% sure), the loafers are actually built for life on a boat, providing great grip as well as vertical gills on each side to provide ventilation. Which means as far as our tropical weather is concerned, it’s a perfect match given how we’ve been getting sudden showers and flash floods lately.
Rather affordable as well, a quick check online reveals they are priced at around USD150 or so, which makes them a steal. The only drawback? I’ve yet to locate an online store that ships internationally, though it lists Robinsons as a stockist in Singapore.
If anyone has seen them at Robinsons, or bought them online, do leave a comment here. I’ll be eternally grateful.

They sell these at Robinsons Centrepoint. The mens department, beside Calvin Klein shoes. I saw them last week. Quite affordable also. Oh, and its quite a wide range as well. Different colours and styles.
I’ve seen these at Robinsons, Raffles City! Men’s shoes dept, next to the audio accessories etc on the top floor.
Bright happy colors, for sure. But a little disappointing irl when I saw these a couple of months ago – the top (nylon) part is perforated and leans more towards a mesh/netting vibe as compared to being polkadottish. That being said, maybe they have updated designs/material now!

After 4 hours of searching online, i have found no solution to my shoe problem. So i just came back to your website as i always do before i sleep, only to find this post.
I have about a dozen pairs of loafers/moccasins/driving shoes, and i just realized that all of them have unimaginable scuffs and scrapes at the bottom front (tip) of the shoe toes. I can only conclude that it always touches the ground when i walk. Is this normal? One pair was so scuffed and worn out that it now has a hole on the front… be it gucci, tod’s and even my lv monte carlo, all of them have irrepairable scuffs.
I just want to know three things.
1. Am i alone in this? (nothing on it on the internet!)
2. Is it the shoe, or is it me and the way i walk?
3. Is there a product that can solve this problem?
I would appreciate it if you, or your helpful readers, could help me prevent the demise of my babies…

I saw these Swims in Montreal a few weeks back and they were amazing. Pretty comfortable too. I’m waiting for end of season to buy a pair that I can break out in the spring.
So far I only saw really limited stocks online (USA) on Nordstrom, Brook Brothers and Bonobos.
I’m definitely getting the white one to match with my white summer outfit. Do udpate if you find a site that ship them internationally. Thanks a mill!
