Spring-Summer 2012 Womens Jil Sander
With rumours afloat of Raf Simons’ impending move to YSL (despite assurances from both Jil Sander and YSL that their star designers are not leaving), Raf Simons himself did say to Style that the Spring-Summer 2012 Womens Jil Sander collection was ‘the last in my couture trilogy’, which can be translated a hundred different ways. Still, there’s no denying that whatever happens next, as far as the bags are concerned, they are all swansong-worthy in my book.
Elongated clutches in rectangular and square shapes, topped off with simple slings to make it even more functional, yet still beautifully minimal. In other words, here are the bags you’ll be seeing a lot more of on this blog in the months to come.
