Burberry Prorsum Raffia Whipstitch Hobo
Of all of the pieces that came down the runway during the Spring-Summer 2012 Womens Burberry Prorsum presentation, this particular one caught my eye. Distinctly Burberry in its shape, it was given a makeover with broad panels of artisan-stitched raffia in different colours, in line with the theme of the runway show.
Measuring 41 cm by 40 cm, the hobo is definitely huge, trimmed in calf leather that’s whipstitched at the edges and lined in cotton on the inside. And of the 3 different colour combinations now available for sale online, these two variations of the Burberry Prorsum Raffia Whipstitch Hobo (shown above) are by far my favourites, which retail for SGD3995 each.
Ethic-chic and super casual. What’s not to love?
Also interesting are these intricately woven cotton clutches with alligator buckles that measure 34 cm by 17 cm, which you’ll honestly either love or hate. You’ll either adore how unique they are, or proclaim how much they look like souvenirs you can pick up for a song. Available in 4 different colour combinations, they retail for SGD5295 a pop.

the price is insane!
They are runway pieces, which are often priced higher than other collections. Though honestly, I do think the clutches are a little pricey.
the clutch looks a bit like Gucci to me…
would be much nicer looking without the buckles and straps!

The bag is not doing anything for me, it is too much. But the worst thing is the name plate, the house should be confident enough to put it inside, let the design speak for itself. (FB)

It is a handbag with single handle to carry. But the shape tells me it looks like a backpack.
