Burberry Nude Collection
Officially launching on 1 September 2011 is the new Burberry fragrance, simply titled Body, which you would have already known by now, given all the exposure it has been getting all over the place online.
You would know that the face of the campaign is none other than British beauty Rosie Huntington Whiteley, lensed by Mario Testino. You would also have seen the bottle, a tall, almost phallic-like glass bottle.
What you may not know is the fact that Burberry is launching a special collection of trench coats, bags, shoes and accessories to commemorate the launch of this fragrance called the Burberry Nude collection. Simply put, everything in this collection will come in shades of cream and nude that are almost guaranteed to make you blush.
Take for example this bowling bag (the shape du jour for Burberry this season) in shades of nude in leather and suede. Beautifully elegant, Christopher Bailey simply lets the materials speak for themselves, no distracting plaids, no loud colours.
Retailing for SGD2795, the 30 cm by 21.5 cm bag comes accented with hardware in rose gold, which is a nice touch. On the inside, expect lush sateen lining as well as a variety of pockets in various sizes for all your personals.
Another genteel beauty from the Nude collection is this hand-brushed exotic python clutch that exudes quiet sensuality. Measuring 19 cm across by 17 cm, the clutch comes with its own slinky shoulder chain (also in rose gold) which you can use with the bag if you so choose. Priced at SGD3259, it’s definitely another gem worth considering.
