Miu Miu Asymmetric Oversized Clutch
Still one of my favourite collections of bags from F/W11, I already professed my love for the Miu Miu Oversized Nappa Leather Clutch here earlier this month, and today it is time to wax lyrical about the Miu Miu Asymmetric Oversized Clutch, another offering from Miuccia Prada that’s fast becoming known as the ‘glamour granny’ collection.
Slightly different from the former, this oversized clutch features a distinctive curved asymmetric top frame clasp, topped with enlarged kiss lock orbs that are definitely a nod to granny purses of yore.
The body is generous and roomy, measuring 41 cm across by 29 cm (yes, I did say it was big). Besides being available in ruched pleated leather, I also spotted another version in wool felt on Net-A-Porter (GBP895), cool dark grey on the outside, delicious nude leather on inside. Or check it out at Miu Miu boutiques at ION Orchard, Paragon and Marina Bay Sands, all of which carry different variations.
As an added bonus, it does come with a shoulder strap, so you can choose to carry it cover the shoulder (or across the body) if you so please. Or just tuck it under your arm and you’re good to go.
