Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Mirada
I’m not sure if this is factually accurate, but I’ve long read that most all Monogram Vernis bags are named after various streets and locales in Los Angeles, from the Rodeo Drive to the Bellevue to the Wilshire, just to name a few.
And with the F/W11 collection, there look to be new additions to the family, with new siblings including the Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Mirada in Rogue Fauviste (shown above), which I think references La Mirada, a city in southeast Los Angeles.
Priced at SGD3500, the smallish framed bag comes replete with an oversized push-lock clasp and a slightly expandable front pocket that you’ll be tempted to stuff to your heart’s content but shouldn’t. Because it will end up looking unsightly and bloated.
If you’re looking for something bigger without the tiny handle, check out the larger Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Romaine in Amarante (SGD4300). Assuming the size of push-lock clasps on the bags are the same, it should give you an idea of the proportional differences of both pieces.
Besides the Mirada and the Romaine, more new additions include the Rossmore PM (shown above) and the Robertson, both clutches in Monogram Vernis but only the former possessing a removable shoulder sling. No word yet on the retail prices of these two pieces, but word is they should be all out within the next couple of weeks or so if not sooner.
