Bagaholicboy Muses #420 – 10 Things To Know About The Club21 Bazaar Sale!

August 17, 2011   |   22 Comments

The much anticipated, long awaited Club21 Bazaar Sale is back, and this year it officially kicks off tomorrow morning at the Pit Building which is located just beside the Singapore Flyer.

Having just returned from the special preview myself, here’s a quick rundown of what to expect at the massive sale that’s spread over the size of 10 HBD five-room flats (ok I’m just guessing here).

01. Most everything under Club21 is on sale here, with discounts of up to 90% off. Yes, that’s right, 90% off!

02. Huge selections are available as far as menswear and womenswear are concerned, from gorgeous frocks by Lanvin to suits by Giorgio Armani. As far as RTW is concerned, you’ll find brands like Balenciaga, Dries Van Noten, Marni, the list just goes on and on. And on and on and on.

You’ll also find designer labels from the now-defunct Blackjack, as well as Club21 Womens and Club21 Mens.

03. You’ll also find selections for your young offspring as well as for your home, from Club21 Kids and Club21 Gallery respectively.

04. As far as bags, shoes and accessories are concerned, they are spread out all over the place. Upon entry into the sale venue, I would advise you to turn left and run all the way to the end. That’s where you’ll find heavily discounted bags from the likes of Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana, CK Calvin Klein, just to name a few.

Yes, run. Not walk, not stride, run.

05. After you’re done at that corner, start going through all the racks in the room one by one. If you see something you like, just pack it into the huge plastic bags provided as you go along. You don’t want to turn back later and be all disappointed because someone else already took it.

Huge white bins are provided throughout the venue for you to deposit merchandise you have second thoughts about, so no worries there.

06. Here’s an important tip everyone should take note off. Be super nice to all the staff manning each section as they are the ones who will be replenishing stocks all day long so it’s really best to get on their good side. Besides, a little kindness never hurt anyone.

07. Avoid wearing flip-flops. Not only are they an eyesore, your toes will be trampled by the over enthusiastic girl trying to grab everything off the racks. I guarantee it.

08. Don’t bring any large bags either. All bags will have to be checked in at the entrance, which only means you’ll be wasting more time. Just bring a small sling bag filled with cards and cash. That’s all you really need anyway.

And a bottle of water. Keeping yourself constantly rehydrated is a must.

09. The sale kicks off tomorrow for HSBC Premier cardholders and Club21 members from 10 in the morning till 8 at night. The sale opens to the general public on Friday (19 August 2011) all the way to Sunday (21 August 2011). Do note that the same opening hours apply, except for Sunday, when the sale ends earlier, at 6 in the evening.

10. Last but not least, for those who do not wish to drive (or do not drive to begin with), there is a free shuttle bus service that picks passengers up from the bus stop opposite The Adelphi opposite Coleman Street.

Don’t forget to share your purchases online with the accompanying hashtag #club21bazaarsale on Twitter. Or check out my tweets for snapshots of some of the designer goodies on sale. Happy shopping!
