Bagaholicboy Likes #18 – Furla Piper

Possessing a certain French house’s design sensibility is the Furla Piper, another gorgeous bag from their F/W11 collection. It is not a carbon copy, nor does it mock specific elements, but the vibe is most definitely there which of course, works favourably for it.

Made of fine leather and available in a gamut of colours, the Piper comes in 2 sizes, the larger measuring 42 cm by 33 cm (also the size I’m eyeing for myself), the smaller measuring 35 cm by 30 cm (shown above). Available in Taupe and Black, it also comes in mock croc and mock ostrich in colours like Coffee Brown, Red, and Smoked Grey.

Why do I like it so much? Besides the fact that it is large and roomy, I love the fact that it opens in front, by way of the zip which is certainly a rarity as far as bags are concerned. At the side of the bag you’ll find a long zip pull which ends with a padlock, giving you another level of security if you so wish.

And that’s not all. I can carry it one of two ways, either via its short handle or slinging it across the body with the help of the removable shoulder strap, which is definitely an added bonus. Last but not least, it’s also the affordability of it that has gotten me pretty excited.

Retailing for SGD1350 (yes, just SGD1350) and SGD1250 for the large and medium sizes respectively, the Piper will not burn a hole in your pocket nor give you sleepless nights. You’ll just go to bed happy every night knowing you bagged such a great bag at such an affordable price.
