Louis Vuitton Lockit Pulsion Collection
As with everything else in life, there are bags you come across that are love at first sight, while for others, you’ll just need to have one look and know it will never work. Still, there are others that fall in-between, those that you aren’t completely sure about, yet for some reason seem to be drawn towards.
One such collection of bags in my opinion is the Louis Vuitton Lockit Pulsion collection, one of the many sub-collections that celebrates the classic Lockit for the Fall-Winter 2011 Womens Louis Vuitton collection. Covered entirely in soft wool shearling (yes, even the handles and hanging key bell are completely covered), it almost resembles a plush toy.
Yes, a plush toy. Adorable, even whimsical. Definitely more of a show pony, than say, a workhorse, which probably explains why I’m still not 100% sure.
Available in 3 different colours (Gris, Caramel and Marine), they should be around the same size as the regular Lockit, measuring 29 cm by 28 cm. Price-wise, expect to part with at least USD3450 for this limited runway offering.
If you looking for something much bigger, check out the larger Louis Vuitton Lockit Voyage Pulsion (shown above) which should retail for USD6100 or so. Expensive, yes, but can you imagine hugging it while suffering cattle class on long haul flights? Then again, if you can afford it, you probably don’t fly economy to begin with.

I don’t mean to be rude but the whole thing simply reminds me of a Domo-Kun tote. LOL!
Have to say nooooo on this collection. (FB)
i think it’s def not a everyday bag, but more of a collectors item, that can be use once in a while, but more to admire on personal basis… (FB)
Looks like a bag meant for rich kids.
When you see it, it’ll make you smile. It is very much more appealing IRL and oh so soft. Photos DO NOT do it justice. It is also pretty practical (hard wearing) as a daily bag… definitely for winter though. (FB)
Thanks for your input Mary!
I probably will end up hugging the bag rather than carrying it. I am not a fan of plush bags though. Plus the price tag is not tempting at all. Maintenance-wise, it is another headache IMO.
Its so adorable!
It just shows that LV can get away with anything. I’m sure without the LV brand behind it, people would find this bag cheap looking.
this looks like a bag cookie monster would love…
Actually, it reminds me of the big woolly Mickey Mouse hats that we wear to Disneyland in winter, complete with those UGG boots. It WILL work in that combination whereas the normal bags will look out of place under those circumstances!
its so FLUFFY!!! i gonna DIE!!!
