Fall-Winter 2011 Mens Prada Ad Campaign
What does one say about the Fall-Winter 2011 Mens Prada ad campaign? The fact that he (actor Tobey Maguire of Spiderman fame) looks like a serial killer in the ads shot by David Sims, or the fact that it is an intense, almost reflective embodiment of the collection that’s basically an ode to a bygone era.
While the verdict is still out on the campaign, I must say I enjoyed the accompanying making-of video, which gives you a look into the process of how the ads finally come together. It is definitely not a easy job; you’ll see Tobey posing his ass off looking focused and sombre, lying down, standing up and even slouched in an armchair.
Also not to be missed, a smattering of F/W11 Prada’s best can be seen in the video, from sunnies to shoes. And after watching it umpteen times, I’m pretty sure I want those shoes with the green soles. Have a look for yourself, at the 00:36 mark.
