Update – Céline Luggage Phantom
Here’s a quick update for those waiting on the launch of the F/W11 Céline Luggage Phantom, a modified variation of the Luggage Shopper. As described earlier in my first post on this tote, it is different due to a few reasons, including the fact that it now features gaping sides and therefore, a more relaxed look amongst other things. If you don’t like it looking as such, it comes with internal leather strips that allow you ‘tie’ up the bag’s sides.
Also new is the additional dangling leather zip pull in the front, which in my opinion just adds to the quirkiness of the piece. Something else I left out the last time, on the inside the bag is lined with suede, a nice luxurious touch to an otherwise already gorgeous bag.
As far as Singapore is concerned, the one in stamped exotic croc (shown above) is expected to launch in July 2011 and will retail for SGD3900, lower than my earlier estimate of SGD4500.
Smaller versions in different colours and material variations (have a look here) will also be available, and they will start from SGD2300 apiece.
If you’re looking for something more traditional, here’s the original Luggage Shopper that will be available in tartan tweed for F/W11. Available in 2 sizes, they will retail for SGD2500 and SGD2000 for the Medium and the Mini respectively. If the Cabas is more your thing, they’ve also got one in tartan and it is finished at the bottom with smooth calfskin which will retail at SGD1300. The Cabas, not the Luggage Tote, just so we’re clear.

I saw this at their trunk show and spoke to a couple of their buyers in Barneys NY. They’ve got the new phantom cabas totes as well scheduled for release around the same time.
This phantom luggage is heavier than the already pretty heavy luggage, and pictures do this phantom no justice at all. It’s a lot better in real life.
They’ve got doctor bags in smooth calf, as well as fabulous iPad covers which double up as clutches coming out too. Very luxe.

No problem. Also, look out for the electric blue luggage in mini which they will be releasing for Fall. It was only produced in very VERY small numbers. Truly breath taking!

Oh is it the Cobalt Blue one? I would love to get my hands on one. When do Fall collections usually come in? I know people have to go on the waiting list first but I need to see the bag in person before I decide. Especially since its quite heavy.
I have to get the Mini one in Tartan! Must must must!
BeckyBenett: Yes, it is in Cobalt Blue. Fall collections for their accessories would typically start trickling in around July/Early September. When it comes to Celine, it’s usually a buy-when-you-spot-it kinda thing, as the number of people on waiting lists is insane… A lot in the UK have paid in full even though the bags hasn’t arrived yet. And colours are extremely limited. The weight of the mini is fine, the medium is a lot heavier, but still, manageable.
I bought the original cobalt blue luggage tote about 1 year ago in Melbourne, it was on display for weeks and no one bought it and after deciding for so long, I decided to blow all my savings on it (am only a poor student studying in Aus).
Do you know what other colours will be released for mini luggage tote? Might spend all my savings on another one haha…
What color will be out in Singapore for the fall collection on the Mini Luggage? Do you think I should put my name on the waiting list or just check the Celine store everyday to get the bag? I’m kinda afraid that even I’m on the waiting list, they will not prioritize me, because as you said earlier the waiting list is insane.
Frankly, get on the list. Most of the bags coming in will be allocated first to those on the wait list, and whatever appears in the shop are probably the ones the weren’t booked in the first place. Head down to N.A.C and ask the SA which colours will be coming in, I’m sure they will be happy to help.
The SA in Celine Takashimaya told me that she will inform me when the new arrival bags are coming, but I’m not sure she will. I think I will just tell her the color of Mini Luggage I want to take, so that she will put me on the list. I still don’t know what the colors, though. I’ll wait for your update. Thanks.

Hi Bagaholicboy! Love your site! I just received my Celine phantom in black croc and it is absolutely gorgeous. I want to know what colors do the Celine trapeze come in. Do they come in grey? I want to order this bag next.
It comes in a variety of colours, and I do think there was a grey as well. There’s also one in croc embossed (like your Phantom) too!

Hi BB, I just bought a celine luggage phantom in light khaki from the ngee ann store! Love love love it! And they do have stock at the moment for the nano in tri colour.
