Bagaholicboy News #190 – S/S11 Colours For Balenciaga!
For those of you still unaware of the new colours for Balenciaga, here’s a complete palette for your reference. Every season Balenciaga releases their iconic bags in new colours, and for S/S11 we have these 10 (actually 11, but I’ll come to that later).
From left to right we’ve got Praline, Mimosa, Vieux Rose, Grenadine, Militaire, Anthracite, Vert Menthe, Dark Night, Nuage and Ardoise. And in case you’re wondering what the 11th colour is, it is simply Blanc Light, in other words, simply White.
In Singapore, you can get a selection of Balenciaga in S/S11 colours from their boutique at Hilton Shopping Gallery, where prices are much lower than they were before. Online, check out Browns (UK), Diabro (Japan), Kepris (Singapore), and Tessabit (Italy), all of which sell authentic designer merchandise and ship internationally.

ARDOISE for sure! It’s really quite a chameleon colour – a light(ish) grey with blue undertones. A neutral that will probably go with tons of outfits. Sometimes it looks blue, sometimes it looks grey. Hilton has sold all their classic city Ardoise. i remember seeing a part-time still there though.

Online prices are lower, for sure. But nothing beats seeing and touching the bag in person.

Heard from the staffs that they won’t bring in weekenders this season. And Ardoise is such a boring color, literally means slate in French. Militaire is a washed out army green, uninteresting. Vieux Rose is a pretty color, Mimosa a bold yet fun color.
Def Mimosa or Vieux Rose for me.

This is a very accurate colour chart, and I have been surfing the sites and forums since last December for Bal’s latest season!
Nuage and Praline are lovely IRL. Ardoise was slightly boring for me and Mimosa is very bright if you luv an eye-catching colour.

I have on hold Vieux Rose in SGH, Part Time. I’m still trying to decide between Part Time and City though, what do you think?
I am trying to decide if I should get the anthracite or nuage! It’s gonna be my first bbag n I’m just so torn between the 2!
Of the two colours you mentioned, Anthracite would be the easier one to mix and match. For a first-timer, that would be my recommendation.

I just bought a antharcite rose gold in giant city from paris. Now that i am back and look at in the sun, it looks a little greenish, and i am a person who does not own a single piece of green. Should i get another color like praline instead although its highly impractical? Or is the color i got ardoise instead? Seems like its too light to be antharcite, how do i check?

Sorry cos i am big built also, would weekender be preferred or it is ok if i carry a part-time? would ppl be using the shoulder sling more often or just the handles on arms? pls pardon ignorance.

I’m struggling between vieux rose or grenadine? What would you recommend? VR is easy to match and easy to get dirty too. G is eye catching but harder to match & I’m worry that will I get bored with it easily? What’s ur take?
G is better as the colour is hardier, but VR is pretty sweet too. Just take good care of your bag and you’ll be fine.
