Prada Saffiano Righe Collection
Fresh from the S/S11 Prada presentation in Beijing are these new bags, which weren’t present during the first menswear presentation Miuccia Prada held in Milan last year. From the Prada Saffiano Righe collection, they feature different pieces in Saffiano leather emblazoned with stripes and cut-out letters (also in leather) to form the word Prada. Available in 3 distinct colour combinations (Blue on Blue, Blue on Green and Orange on Tan), expect the first batch to arrive in Singapore around mid-February 2011.
Here’s a close-up of the Prada Saffiano Righe Briefcase in my favourite colour combo, the orange strip a nice contrast to the tan leather body. Almost has a retro sporty vibe to it, don’t you think?
The other combo I’ve got my eye on is the Blue on Blue, which while nice, could be darn hard hard to match for me since I have a wardrobe full of blue shirts (go Givenchy!). Don’t want to end up looking like a Smurf, if you know what I mean. Besides the briefcases, other pieces in this collection will include totes with shoulder straps, as well as travel trolleys (I’m assuming they can be carried on board the plane), and prices will range from SGD2800 to SGD4870.
And it is true what they say, the men are getting more and more spoilt for choice these days.

is it available WITHOUT the brand name screaming out loud?
LOL! Of course there are. Haven’t been to a Prada store lately have you?
And seriously, are the logos in this collection really that big? I’ve seen worse.
it’s loud, thank god, it’s not loud-hailer loud like monograms stamped all over like it’s almost on your face!
Very in your face briefcase!
On an unrelated note, is the shoes in? Haven’t been there lately!
Yes they are, I’ve heard some are already available for sale at Prada Marina Bay Sands.
Look fantastic! (FB)
tacky.
Love them…very retro. I especially like the tan and green one. Don’t think they are too in the face though.
Not a fan of the huge PRADA lettering. Why not have the brand only embossed in a subtle way on, say, the luggage tag part.
looks like the rich man’s fred perry or ben sherman. i love the color combos, but not the cut-out letters.
Would have bought the tan one without the lettering…
nice twist but I wish they didn’t put the big logo. just the strips of leather would’ve been fine. but of course, I understand the market these are for.
I prefer it without the logo, too. The stripes are good enough.
omg the blue is gorgeous!
♥ that BLUE ! Would love to see how that looks in a small wheeled carry-on… But, yes, I agree with many of the others – that large logo is distracting…
BTW, just noticed the ‘link’ to my BLOG → MOLTO GRAZIE!!

i love the colour combination of the tan with orange stripe.
Yeah, seems men fashion would be more and more important… I love it!
I agree with lalala. The PRADA wording is screaming… unless you like that sort. I give it a pass. Colour scheme not appealing for me.
