Bagaholicboy Muses #228 – Meet The (Céline) Shoppers
I met the most adorable bag in person today, and no, it ain’t the Céline Mini Shopper (SGD2550) that’s pictured above. But before I go any further, let’s backtrack a little. Though the now-famous tote needs no introduction (it has a come a long way since the day it was launched), there is still much confusion when it comes to the name and the sizes.
Officially referred to as the Luggage Shopper (or Luggage Tote), it has also been called the Boston Shopper, though I really do not know why, but for the sake of clarity we’ll just refer to her by her former name(s) here.
Now on to the sizes. The Luggage Shopper officially comes in 5 sizes, namely Medium (in Leopard Jute, SGD2650, shown above), Shoulder, Mini, Mirco and Nano. The one that I own (also the largest) is the one in Medium (38 cm by 40 cm). Next comes Shoulder (37 cm by 30 cm), Mini (30 cm by 30 cm), Mirco (26 cm by 26 cm) and last but not least, Nano (20 cm by 20 cm). I’ve also read that there used to be 2 more sizes (Large and Small), but they have since been discontinued.
What’s most interesting about the Nano is the fact that because it is so small, they decided to add a removable shoulder strap so that you can sling it across the body. I saw one in leather and canvas today during the S/S11 press presentation, and it was truly too cute to resist. Best thing, it will only retail for SGD1400 (no really, I’m not kidding) when it is released in the coming weeks, so best you go on down to their store at Ngee Ann City to wait list for it.

what would you recommend for a guy? I am tempted by it… is large too big? I wished there’s some sort of modelling picture in order to judge.
I use the one in Medium myself, and it is pretty big, even for me. Measuring 38 cm by 40 cm, the best thing you can do is to try it out for yourself at the boutique. That you can you see how the bag looks in proportion to your height and build.
Its nice just that it is abit heavy. But anyway, I still want to own it!
It is definitely heavy, there’s no doubt about that, but here’s a tip. Get the ones with wool/canvas/jute fronts, instead of those in full leather and you’ll notice they are a tad lighter.

i recently bought an oversized version of it in paris. looking at the tag, it reads Extra Large!!

I really love this bag, it looks great in wool and/or canvas btw! I think for the price it’s a great investment. Still, have to check out if it looks weird for my height (I’m tall) in the smaller sizes.
was at harrods london yesterday and i saw this oversize and i mean oversize version in navy leather. looks gorgeous but too big for day use and no way would you want to check that in…
went down to the boutique at Ngee Ann City today. the full leather Nanos are all sold out! as for the Micro i think they’re only left with one in Red or maybe it was Orange.
I know! I saw a Nano in Navy on Saturday, and I heard it is already sold out. Before I arrived they sold another in Green that same morning just when the stocks came in.

Terence, yup. That’s the very rare Large. The zipper sits a lot higher than these ones.

I love this bag! Got the camel mini luggage today… the leather was so luxurious and the interior is very spacious too… damage was 2300sgd. SA said once the colors are gone, very hard to find them here again..

Would u know if singapore will received the tri-coloured bag in the cream ones? I knew they received the orange tri-colour bag but only received one piece!
Sorry dear but you’ll have to check with the Céline SA. I’m not 100% sure if that colour combo was ordered for Singapore.

Just went down to check the Nano today and it’s $2100 now. The prices increased so much in half a year.
