Louis Vuitton Monogram Empreinte Collection
The Louis Vuitton Monogram Empreinte collection is the realisation of understated elegance, combining the most supple of leathers and traditional craftsmanship. Now available in Singapore, the collection comprises 7 pieces; the Lumineuse (a tote that comes in 2 sizes GM and PM at SGD3750 and SGD3000 respectively), the Artsy (SGD3200), the Inspiree (a smaller boxy tote, SGD2300), the Petillante (a clutch, SGD1860) and two wallets, the Portefeuille Secrete Long (SGD1160), and the smaller Portefeuille Secrete Compact (SGD950).
Depending on what you’ve fallen in love with and are deciding to get, the prices ain’t really that bad at all. And before you get on a high horse and start railing at me for recommending bags that cost thousands of dollars, let me explain.
As far as Louis Vuitton is concerned, they take pride that only the supplest of calf leathers are chosen to become a Monogram Empreinte piece, each finely textured and sensuous to the touch. The leathers are then embossed with the house monogram, after which more man hours are put in, transforming each piece of leather into totes, clutches and wallets, with all the complementary details like hardware pieces and zip pulls added in towards the end of the construction.
The collection is available in 5 different colours; Burgundy, Cream, Dark Blue, Navy and Taupe, colours that in my opinion work fairly well together, such that if you get 2 different pieces in 2 different colours, they will still look good as a pair.
My personal favourites from the collection include the Louis Vuitton Monogram Empreinte Artsy (more elegant than the one in Monogram Canvas, yet much more affordable than the one in exotic python).
The other piece I adore is the Louis Vuitton Portefeuille Secrete Long, a sensibly-sized wallet that’s just perfect for city living, what with all the cards we carry around these days.

Have you seen the lining inside the bag? It’s very similar to the Neverfull, but matches the colour of the leather outside. (FB)

I was wondering why you haven’t introduced this range yet. I thought I have missed your post, cos a lot of other bloggers and even magazines have already done so.
Like the embossed leather, but not the Balenciaga-look-alike tassels and that little loop in front.
Actually, BB first previewed the pics some time back (either on Facebook or on this blog).

The collection hasn’t been launched in the UK yet I think, it is also not listed on LV’s UK site. Try checking with your local store.
I have not seen it on the French website too.. has it been launched in France?
From what I know, the launch has been slightly delayed for the European market as well.

I’ve been following up with some SAs because my sister wants the Lumineuse PM for her birthday – There has been quite a lot of conflicting information regarding the Empreinte launch. Even in US, some ladies had to waitlist for 15 Nov, while others managed to buy it off the shelves before November. Accordingly for Singapore, the collection is “officially launched” on 1st Nov, but due to “shipment delays” only a small quantity reached our local stores, which have been already fully paid for, or reserved for “first looks” for VICs only. Hence the stores are not putting the items up for display.
Very happy. I got the LV Lumineuse PM today . It’s launching tomorrow according to the LV staff. But I managed to get a piece today. The dark blue looks gorgeous.

I fell in love with this collection after reading your post I knew I had to own one immediately.
It was love at first sight when I went to the store and ended up getting the Artsy in Ombre and Petillante cluth in Infini. My bank account will never be the same again.
