Reed Krakoff Boxer II Alligator Tote
I’m officially captivated by the F/W10 Reed Krakoff Boxer II Alligator Tote, a boxy delight composed of felt, leather and exotic alligator. New to Net-A-Porter, Reed Krakoff is also the creative force behind Coach, which is why I’m very pleased how his own eponymous label turned out. Interestingly enough, without resorting to cheap tricks, his label is one that’s clean and streamlined with an almost European sensibility.
As wide as a Birkin40, the Boxer II measures 41.25 cm across by 32.5 cm, the perfect size for both men and women. I’m also loving how it looks, neutral enough to be carried by both men and women for work and play. The only drawback? The price of the tote which comes in at USD6900 (or around SGD9300 based on today’s exchange rate).

BB – It has a Hermes vibes to it. Dont you think?
ouch! overpriced!
It reminds me of a Birkin indeed…
Hermès vibe? I think not.
It’s way too complicated to be confused with Hermès elegant lines. Besides, where exactly is the resemblance; has anyone here actually seen a Birkin?
Hermès doesn’t always make bags with “elegant lines”. If you’ve seen the Sac Himalaya (not to be confused with Himalaya Birkin), you’d know what I mean. LOL
It does not resemble a Birkin at all… a gross oversight and generalization.
This bag is elegant because of the way the different materials are put together. Its form and idea is simple but its execution sophisticated.
This attention to detail and materiality is how it might remind one of Hermes in my humble opinion.
Actually I kinda like this bag… wonder if it’s available in non-exotic skin…
At that price, wouldn’t a Birkin be a better choice (of course not in their exotic leathers)?
awww, i love this bag, but insanely expensive !!!!!!!!!
The minimum use of the alligator skin on this bag does not justify the price, in my most humble opinion.
That is a rather valid point. Thanks for dropping by Raymond.
