Mulberry: The F/W10 Launch Party At Tanjong Beach Club

It’s firmly established that no one throws greater parties big or small better than Club21, and after the legendary ck Calvin Klein bash at Queenstown Remand Prison early this year I thought nothing else could top it. Till now.

Last night, invited guests, press and our little contingent of bloggers descended onto Sentosa’s Tanjong Beach Club to celebrate the launch of Mulberry’s F/W10 collection in Singapore. A collection that drew inspiration from royal hues (lots of purple and gold), wild animal prints and Hollywood theatrics.

One of the highlights of the evening was the runway presentation, the bevy of models dressed in Emma’s F/W10 best  and strutting their stuff alongside the shimmering pool. Stunning.

Even more stunning at night, Tanjong Beach Club provided the perfect backdrop to the party, along with great music, tasty bites and delicious cocktails that flowed all night.

And then there was Alexa Chung, who was flown in by Club21 just for the party. Exact details are a blur for me now, but I remember spending a good 5 minutes with her, having been introduced to her by the lovely reps from Mulberry UK who also flew in with her. I shook her hand, we got a couple of pics together and I can now safely say, as famous as she is, she is also very down-to-earth, sweet and friendly.

Here’s another snap of Ms Chung herself, posing for me in the DJ booth as she spun her set for over an hour, much to the delight of guests and fans. Thank you, Club21. I had a blast.

And in case anyone’s wondering, besides looking impossibly chic, she also had her Alexa in Oak with her last night.
