Fall-Winter 2010 Womens Proenza Schouler
If this doesn’t move you in any way, you are most likely (a) dead, (b) numb, or (c) having a really bad day today. More Proenza Schouler goodness in the form of gorgeous satchel bags from their F/W10 collection. I love how the boys (namely Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez) always manage to get the balance just right, the yin and the yang, the hard against the soft, you know what I mean.
And this exotic croc (I do hope for all our wallets’ sakes it is mock croc though) satchel is all that and more. I love how the little details like the studs and chain-link sling give it that instant lift, and if you are familiar with Proenza Schouler, you’ll know that is this distinctly them.
Another gorgeous (and hopefully more afforable variation), in what looks like untreated calf leather (or suede) with a black leather flap and strips of blue lizard skin. And somehow it just works perfectly together. Delish.
And last but not least, the shoulder sling bag I’ve already featured just recently, which in my opinion is to-die-for. Hopefully these will be stocked at Club21 when they finally release the brand in Singapore. If not, there is always Colette and Net-A-Porter to stalk online.

I have no doubts about Proenza Schouler’s design capabilities and these are lovely bags. But does anyone else think it borrows a few elements from the YSL Muse Two and the Hermes Medor?

the chain looks painful… lovely bags nevertheless.
the top one is a complete killer.
No wonder those boys have the Valentino Group as their financial backer.
I usually love Proenza but those chain slings look really cheap. They just do.
I was thinking it looks that way because of poor photography. We’ll know for sure once it hits the shelves.
Hopefully. It would be a real pity otherwise.
