Dr. Martens Adrian Tassle Loafer Collection
I remember once a long time ago I used to have a pair of Dr. Martens, and only because they went very well with my jeans from Cross Colours. Don’t even start and ask me why I had a pair of Cross Colours in the first place, but I got that pair of Dr. Martens boots because it was trendy then (as it is now), affordable and of course, comfortable.
Flash forward to today and I’ve moved on to brands like Car Shoe and Tod’s, with the occasional odd discounted shoe from some online shopping site ever so often. And with the release of the Dr. Martens Adrian Tassle Loafer collection that’s exclusive to Front Row in Singapore, I think I might as well pick up a pair just for nostalgia’s sake.
To be officially released only on 1 September 2010, each SGD179 suede loafer is a joy to behold, and available in 3 delish colours: Fuchsia, Teal (my personal favourite) and Midnight Blue. And while it doesn’t look like a traditional pair of Dr. Martens, the trademark thick rubber sole is still present.
And while the loafers are unisex, Fuchsia will only be available in female sizes from UK 4 and up while the ones in Teal and Midnight Blue will only come in male sizes from UK 6 onwards.
Honestly I’m torn between Teal and Midnight Blue, but then again seeing how these tasseled babies will fly out the window (they are only SGD179 a pair after all), I’ll take my chances with what’s left when they are officially launched.
And did anyone else here ever own a pair of Cross Colours jeans as well?

Well I suppose both ways are correct. I used to refer to them as ‘Doc Marts’ too when I was a wee lad.

Thanks for reminding. I had a maroon cross color too and the baggy the better. I wore it with an addidas huggy top and i look hip hop. LOL… I think it was cool back then and I’m not ashamed of it.
