Bagaholicboy Reminisces #18 – Best Of July 2010
This is officially the last post before I turn 3. Or 1095 days since the blog started way back in August 2007. It’s been a journey for me, a learning experience and yes, I’ve got to admit I met many new friends, learnt much more and of course, had good fun doing what I do day after day. So without further ado, here’s what happened in the last month before I turned 3!
01. A quick recap on the events I’ve attended this month, including the launch of Bvlgari MAN and more recently, the Sparkle With Glamour Show by Goldheart, and the LG Optimus meet and greet with Korean celebrity/actor/cutie Lee Min Ho.
02. July’s most elegant: the Bvlgari Isabella Rossellini collection (which I hear has already sold out in Singapore), and F/W10 collections of both Jil Sander, and Givenchy.
03. Other notables include the new Gucci Vintage Web Boston (check out their sleek F/W10 ad campaign at the same time), the soft and supple Loewe Ala Tote collection, and the stunning all-black Hermès Kelly So Black which also comes in an all-black dust bag and box that even Emma Peel would approve of.
04. More luscious than the Burberry Prorsum Lambton Shearling Messenger, may I present my current F/W10 obsession from Burberry: the Lambton Shearling Hobo.
05. A quick recap for those who’ve recently picked up their Apple iPad in Singapore, a selection of cases and covers from the very affordable to the ultra luxe. And before I forget, Fendi iPhone Cover anyone?
06. The month’s most casual, fun and affordable by far, the Baggu Backpack which retails for under SGD50 and comes in a smattering of lovely juicy colours. Another affordable and fun essential? The Alessi Minou Purse Hook. Meow.
07. Want a bag that’s truly yours and one-of-a-kind? In Singapore you can check out the Louis Vuitton Mon Monogram personalisation, where prices start from SGD1400 for a personalised Speedy25. But if you want something even more luxe, how about a custom made Loewe Amazona? Choose from 3 different sizes, 16 different colours and 3 types of exotic skins. Now that’s truly an indulgence beyond par.
08. More Louis Vuitton updates, including quick first looks at both their F/W10 womens, and mens collection. Also check out this post which briefly covers the Shako, Briska and Monogram Macassar pieces for F/W10. And click here if you haven’t seen the new ad campaign yet, along with a review of the pre-fall Louis Vuitton Monogram Aviator.
09. More ‘charming’ F/W10 offerings include the doll bag charms from D&G, the Balenciaga Colorblock Continental Wallet, and the leopard Mulberry Bayswater. And let’s not forget the little Twitter bird bag charm from See by Chloé as well.
10. Last but not least, thanks again goes out to I-S Magazine for their lovely piece on the blog, inSing for their lovely revamp (and putting up a permanent page and pic of me) and NÜYOU Singapore for the gorgeous coverage in their July issue.
