Burberry Prorsum Lambton Shearling Messenger
Remember this? I gushed and gushed and gushed till I was wet all over in January and finally the sample has made its way to Singapore. Called the Burberry Prorsum Lambton Shearling Messenger (also known simply as the Oversize Shearling Satchel, USD2195) the good folks at Burberry Singapore made it so that I could have some alone time with it for a week. Having picked it up today (my other appointment at ION Orchard), I was both thrilled and excited.
But back to the messenger. First impressions? The bag is huge. Not just big, but really, really huge. Measuring 64 cm across at its widest point, you can literally put your entire wardrobe into it and still have space for your gym shoes, your laptop and an actual little lamb.
The front flap you see is also purely cosmetic, its interior only accessible by a zippered opening on the top. And it’s definitely not lightweight either, made up of soft lambskin (or is it calfskin) on the outside, shearling wool interior (so lush) and patent leather trim all over.
So how will it fare in my hands? Let’s wait a week and see how it goes. And no, the messenger won’t be available for sale in Singapore till early September at the least. Stay tuned for more updates.

its available for purchase on the Burberry US site. Ever since I saw it on your blog, I have been waiting and waiting for it to be released… it was great to see it available online.. but that price is pretty killer (USD$2200). *sigh* looks like I’ll be waiting some more before I can get my hands on it.

Hey Col, honestly with the amount of leather of this bag, I am not surprised it is priced so high. Another thing I didn’t know, it seems Burberry Prorsum bags are made in Italy too for the most part.
I was just preparing a post for my blog about this bag… It is very particular and nice, even if I think it’s not practical.

Love it A LOT, but the US$ price made my eyes go O_O. My laptop would love it though. I still have not bought myself a nice computer bag yet…
