Céline Classic Box Bag
Every 3rd person I know seems to be waiting for exactly the same thing to happen as me. And that’s trying to figure out when Céline will ever start their end-of-season sale.
First the good news. Céline’s sale will officially start this Saturday (12 June 2010), with discounts starting at 30% which is standard modus operandi for luxury brands in Singapore. The private VIP sale however, starts tomorrow and by chance I already managed to find out what will be going on sale.
Now for the bad news. The one bag that everyone’s waiting for; the Céline Classic Box Bag (shown above) will not be on sale. Considered to be part of their ongoing collection that will come out in new variations every season, it is a classic-in-the-making and therefore off limits. A hit with the fashion elite, the calfskin handbag is a study of minimalism and functionality all at once, and comes in 2 different sizes.
The leather cabas which comes in brilliant hues will also not be going on sale, much to my disappointment. And yes, even those pieces from the same collection as my Céline Flat Handbag are not included.
And now that I’m trying to recall what will be on sale, I honestly can’t remember. Which only means one thing. Time to head on down again tomorrow and update it on Twitter as and when I get the information. And if you’re a big Céline fan yourself, don’t forget to stay tuned.

You should! I’ve seen that version in person, the zips allow you to ‘open’ the tote outwards, very cool!

Plain, ugly and boring. I don’t see what’s the appeal to this bag at all. Looks like something I can find at Macy’s or TJ Maxx. Yawn.
