Celebs And Bags #55 – Dior Minaudiere & Michelle Yeh

Celebrities filled the red carpet during the 29th Hong Kong Film Awards recently and the one the caught my eye was former Ms Chinese International winner Michelle Yeh, now a famed actress in her own right. Dressed in Dior Couture, she looked effortlessly elegant in a sensual gown that just looked gorgeous on her. More importantly, I’m also slightly smitten with the little clutch she had in her hands.
Released in 2009, the Dior Minaudiere looks set to become another Dior signature piece, much like the Lady Dior and the Dior Detective Bag. The one shown above is in grey and silver handpainted python skin, and retailed for SGD3790 when it came out last year as part of the F/W09 collection.
From the S/S10 collection we’ve got more variations of the Dior Minaudiere, like this piece in exotic galuchat. Something new I learnt today, galuchat actually refers to either sharkskin or stingray skin, or embossed cowhide which is made to look like the skins I’ve just mentioned. Sadly this particular piece is not available in Singapore.
One that is available in Singapore is this variation that comes entrusted with Swarovski crystals and retails for SGD5500, which I covered recently in another post. Lush? Indeed.
