Celebs And Bags #51 – Louis Vuitton Monogram Antheia GM & Sienna Miller
In this installment of Celebs And Bags may I present the Louis Vuitton Monogram Antheia collection, their new supple leather line made of lambskin. Besides employing the use of flawless lambskin, each bag is also meticulously embroidered with the House’s monogram pattern, giving it that raised embossed pattern that’s still soft and supple to the touch.
Seen recently on Sienna Miller, this luxuriously-finished hobo is indeed functional and stylish. I’ve seen it for myself at Louis Vuitton Ngee Ann City and I must say I’m pretty impressed. And though it’s technically ‘monogrammed’ all over, it does not feel overpowering, allowing the true nature of the lambskin leather to shine through. Available in 2 sizes and 4 different colours including Gris, Framboise, Caramel and Olive (shown above), they retail for SGD4110 (PM) and SGD4480 (GM) respectively.
And before anyone cries bloody murder about the retail prices, here’s a quick point I want to make. A Chanel Classic Flap in lambskin also falls under the SGD3500 to SGD4500 range and with that in mind, also note the both the Monogram Antheia PM and GM are much bigger in size. Not saying which is better (I’ve leave that to you to decide); just providing a point of reference.

It is supposed to be more exclusive, which is why it is sold only at the boutiques for now. Later on however, who knows…

not a fan of louis vuitton, but what really bothers me is the lock on the side. marc jacobs seems to be blurring the lines between his own line and louis vuitton.
