Furla Flagship Collection
Tweet
While it may not be the most original of ideas (Chanel did it first), it is interesting to see other brands coming out with their interpretations of the humble paper or plastic carrier all ‘glammed-up’ and used like an actual bag, or in this case, tote. Loewe will also be launching theirs soon, a full calf leather bag thats looks exactly like a brown paper bag. And while I was shopping at ION Orchard last week, I spotted these at Furla’s newest boutique on Level 3 opposite Marmalade Pantry.
Called the Furla Flagship collection, each silkscreened canvas tote is made to look like a mock paper bag, with the plastic handles that are actually leather. Retailing for SGD399 each, each slightly bigger than A4 tote comes with the country’s flag on the front, along with Furla’s flagship address of that particular country in front.
Besides the Union Jack, other countries in this collection include Italy, America, Russia, Japan and Spain. Personally I wouldn’t mind checking out the one from Russia or Japan, but those pieces will be coming to Singapore early next month.
But if you’re not a fan of the tote and actually need something smaller, check out the matching clutch/wristlet that retails for SGD149 a pop.
I am so missing London. And Paris…

Oh wooooo. I think I like these better than Chanel’s.
I love it!
Love the wristlet!!!
I hope Furla comes out with Philippines. I would definitely get one even if I am not a fan of Furla.
Just HAD mention that is was Louis Vuitton who was the first to produce a bag in this shape, called the Sac Plat (was told when I purchased a damier one it was 1968!) So folks, forget the rest, go with the original and most beautiful “shopping tote”.
i have it!
