Bagaholicboy Muses #166 – Happy Birthday To Me!

It’s time to officially reveal my single biggest indulgence all year, the Celine Flat Handbag (I know, I know, the name couldn’t been less fancy), which is from Ms Philo’s Spring-Summer 2010 Womens Celine collection. Gorgeous, ‘vintage’ and monogrammed all over, it was love at first sight the moment I spotted it at Ngee Ann City.

Besides being roomy (yes the tote may look flat but it sure can pack it in), it also comes with a huge pocket in the front. On the inside, it’s lined with deep red fabric and comes with the usual suspects, a zip pocket and slot pockets for other personals. I’m a sucker for details, and the tote had a multitude of them, including the contrasting use of leather (burgundy and brown), the leather wrapped padlock along with the hanging clochette with key and the canvas monogrammed body that looked very ‘old-school’

Use it ‘open’ and it’s a tote. Fold it over, sling it across your body and it becomes a messenger. Fold it over, remove the adjustable shoulder strap and it becomes a huge portfolio/clutch.

I simply had to get it. And I did.

Then there was little Edward from Prada (yes, I blame it on peer pressure; otherwise known as Kevin, Javier and Mark) from my Mum, and I also received a pair of  bracelets (the Louis Vuitton Keep It in Damier Ebene), a gift from A.

Edward was a surprise find, since I wasn’t expecting to find him ever since they first launched him sometime back. As luck would have it, he was reintroduced as part of the Valentines’s 2010 Womens Prada collection. As far as I can tell, the only difference between the two is the fact that my version comes with an extra black leather heart  charm, which is hardly visible anyway since it is placed behind the head.

As for the bracelets, I’d already decided I wanted them a while back (even if they did look like ‘rubber bands’), so when the time came to get them as gifts I jumped at it. Available in 3 different patterns (Damier Azur, Damier Ebene and Damier Graphite), I decided on Damier Ebene simply because they looked the best in my opinion.

Happy birthday to me!
