Updated Again – Mulberry Alexa Collection
This is the 3rd post regarding the Mulberry Alexa collection (and it also looks set to be the longest) so bear with me. I have received new information which I will share in this post. First, let’s tackle the issue of size. The Alexa measures 38 cm by 23 cm, the handle drops 11 cm. Retailing for GBP695 (SGD1949) for the version in soft buffalo leather, colours include Butter (shown above), Ink Blue and Oak.
The Alexa is also available in shiny leopard, in colours Peony Pink (shown above) and Oak. Retail for this is slightly higher, at GBP795. In Singapore it will retail for SGD2199.
Moving on, we’ve got the larger brother, also known as the Mulberry Oversized Alexa. Also the one I’m personally eyeing, it measures 42 cm by 32 cm. For the soft buffalo leather version (comes in the same 3 colours), it retails for GBP795 (SGD2199) The Oversized Alexa also comes in shiny leopard (same 2 colours as above) and that will retail for GBP895 (SGD2499).
Here’s the Mulberry Alexa Clutch, which measures 34 cm by 19 cm. It’s a decent size (if you ask me), and the one shown here (in shiny leopard Oak) retails for GBP450 (SGD1249). Also available in soft buffalo but only in Ink.
As for me, I’ll be patiently waiting till I get my Oversized Alexa in Ink Blue. Or Oak. Ink Blue. Oak. Collection hits stores 12 January 2010.

Hey bboy… i've been really interested in the alexa bag for a while now… are u absolutely sure u got the price right? it's astonishing! i'm from malaysia btw n i've checked with mulberry (kl) sometime ago and i distinctly remember the large alexa going for something like RM 7k++ closer to 8k here… the boutique manager showed me the product and price list of the stock that they've ordered … so looking at your price now it's baffling

The correct prices are listed in the post now. Also thanks to the 15 emails and 8 comments telling me I got it wrong. Honestly, I feel embarassed and loved at the same time.

Bagaholic Boy I'm so glad you got the prices right this time! I was feeling really sad earlier on, cus I was really interested in getting something from the Alexa collection! Now that it's more afforadble, I can wish again!

Ink Blue? Or Oak?
Thanks Bagaholicboy for this post! I was torn between Ink Blue and Peony Pink, and I have just made up my mind to get the latter ^^ It's more me, I guess… but no doubt Ink Blue is really gorgeous too!

i would choose to invest in a good handbag from mulberry over Proenza Schouler anytime as they are a company known for handbags and has a history, to see them evolving (for their icons) and make them into such coveted, versatile and stylish version is really genius. this one is definitely to die for!
I really like Peony Pink! Oak & Ink Blue are gorgeous too, but between both choices, I would go for Ink Blue. I need to see it IRL too. I wonder when the boutique in Singapore would get stock. Hoping for the oversized one!
sigh… it still goes to show that singapore is still much cheaper than malaysia …

Hi BBoy, Just to let you all know that the sizes are wrong… the Mulberry website has now withdrawn the original sizes as people in the UK were most disappointed to find their bags were smaller than expected. The Oversized is similar to a Bayswater and the regular is smaller… cannot say for sure but it is not the size you quoted above…. sorry!
bought an oversized ink blue Alexa for my wife at London Heathrow Terminal 3. Cost 676GBP. The size is similar to a bayswater. The small one is more like an East-West Bayswater.
