Goyard Saint Louis Collection
Few brands rank as high in my heart as Goyard does and though I already own 3 pieces from this brand lately I’ve been itching to get myself a fourth. And the fourth piece I’ve been toying to get is (surprise, surprise) the Goyard Saint Louis GM in Black. I know, I know, I already have one in Black/Tan, but one in Black would be the perfect match for my Goyard Boeing45.
And like the profile I did for the Goyard Boeing collection recently, here’s all you need to know about the Goyard Saint Louis collection, including how to get yourself one sent direct to your home all the way from London.
First, the size. There are currently only 2 sizes available (the 3rd has been discontinued), Petit Modèle and Grand Modèle (otherwise known as PM and GM respectively). The GM comes in 40 cm by 34 cm by 8 cm, and the PM, 34 cm by 11 cm by 6 cm. Now the colours. Pink has been discontinued and in its place Red (T2), a newly reintroduced colour along with perennial favourites Black (T1), Black/Tan (T3), Burgundy (T9), Green (T6), Light Blue (T7), Navy (T8), Orange (T4), White (T10) and Yellow (T5).
Now for the best bit, the prices. According to the price list I’ve obtained from Goyard London, they are now priced at GBP480 and GBP580 or around SGD1080 and SGD1300 based on today’s exchange rates. You can now also email Goyard London direct to place your order, and they will have it shipped direct to you, though extra costs like shipping and the local 7% GST will be borne by you as well.
So yes, you can now own a piece from a brand I personally consider bag royalty, even if you’re stuck on our tiny red dot.
Now excuse me while I go decide if I should go ahead and order the one in Black. And Jessica, if you’re reading this, make sure you exercise self-control and stick to what we’ve discussed over email. I’ll be watching.

Hi Kenni, I don’t think there is Purple (see colour chart above). Maybe you saw Burgundy (T9)?
I suggest you wait for the new tote of Goyard. When I was there in Paris last year they only had the prototype and the ones for sale are still in production. It is a better version of the St. Louis, more structure and the handles are bigger. I still don’t know what it is called. Beautiful and more in love with it than St. Louis because the print on St. Louis fades after a while.

Don’t! I’ve seen those bags in person and they look so thin and cheap. They don’t close easily only when on your shoulder. The thinness and weak structure is not worth its price.

BB, what can you say to richard’s comment above? my friends have been saying the same thing about my st. louis pm in blue.
by the way, aside from the st. louis, i also have a few lvs, guccis, and a chanel flap sitting in my closet. do i need to put dehumidifiers/moisture-absorbing balls and thingys inside? or will the silica packets work fine? which bag brands’ leather are more prone to getting brittle/peeling? like the damier leather or the black caviar leather, what happens if i don’t take it out of the closet for a long time?
Honestly everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and you can never find one bag that everyone will like.
I love my Saint Louis because it is slouchy, lightweight and cost about the same as the Neverfull, but still less commonplace and more exclusive.

Hey! Been thinking of getting one too versus the Neverfull. I love LV’s interior of its Damier, the blood red contrast to the dark checkered canvass. I’m not sure what the St Louis’ interiors look like tho.. Is it as pretty?

I purchased my first Goyard in the white T10 from Bergdorf Goodman in NYC. It is similiar to the Porte-cartes simple by Louis Vuitton. What somewhat annoys me about Goyard that I asked about in the store was how do I see what is available? The store had a limited supply. The website has no pictures.
It is most likley I would purchase more if only I had something to look at.

If you are intending to purchase direct from Goyard there will be no issues with authenticity…

A quick update; there has been a recent price adjustment for all of Goyard’s pieces and the PM and GM are now priced at GBP540 and GBP640 respectively.

You’re right. Goyard’s PM is almost the same size as LV’s MM, while the GM from both houses are around the same size.
Just bought a GM in light blue today from the London store. Without personalization the price is £640 with it brings the price to £850 (I had three stripes and my initials added).
Service was at the London store was flawless and I highly recommend it to anyone considering purchasing their own piece of Goyard.

I feel like EVERYONE has the neverfull by lv, goyard seems more exclusive. I already have a damier ebene speedy, navy longchamp, which leads me to think T1 or T9 PM St. Louis… maybe even (daring for me) a T7. What is the better buy and will last for years when it comes to color?

when you say grey do you mean silver? if it is silver it is a special limited edition but i do not recall it comes in St Louis. if not it is most likely a fake.

Hi BB, The most popular Goyard is no doubt the Saint Louis! Here are the current Saint Louis prices in Paris for anyone who is interested to know.
PM – 700 Euros (tc) / 910 Euros (sc)
GM – 800 Euros (tc) / 1040 Euros (sc)
tc = traditional colours
sc = special colours
They have added in their email to me yesterday. ‘Our range of prices will not increase before January 2013, so it has remained the same since your last messages.’ Does this mean they are planning a price increase next year?
Anyway, I will be off to Paris beginning December to make my next procurement! Their wallets and passport holder are on my radar!
