LG New Chocolate: Official Launch At Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong
I’m back from my first official press junket, courtesy of LG Electronics Asia who flew me (along with 19 others) to Hong Kong yesterday for the official launch of LG New Chocolate. Honestly I didn’t know what was more exciting, the fact that I was being flown overseas for an event, or the fact that I would be travelling in the same group with industry veterans like Toh Paik Choo.
Held at the Four Seasons Hotel, the presentation started with the introduction of both brand ambassadors, celebrity/jewellery designer Nadya Hutagalung and sex symbol Lin Chi Ling. Both equally hot, but personally I was rooting for…
Nadya. Call me old-school, but strong elegant women like her nowadays are few and far between. Think Maggie Cheung, Jacelyn Tay and Celia Teh.
But before fans of Lin Chi Ling start flaming me, here’s a snap of the saucy minx.
But back to the post proper; here’s a proper look at the LG New Chocolate (LG BL40), which according to Nadya looks ‘like a shiny slab of black quartz with a row of sparkling red rubies on the ends’. Honestly, I couldn’t agree more. It is even more stunning in real life; I would know, I had the chance to play with it after the presentation concluded.
What’s more impressive however are the features the LG BL40 comes packed with; including a 4″ 21:9 ratio HD LCD for web browsing, dual screen function that allows you to display 2 types of content at the same time, simplified touch screen navigation and even a very useful ‘copy and paste’ function for emails.
Impressed? Definitely. But whether it will really work as well as it claims is something I will never know, unless I manage to get my hands on a trial set soon. And if I ever get to do a proper review, you’ll be the first to know…

Oh…pls post reviews. Me would like to know & decide whether to get it. Look so sleek & trendy!!
Well, it is really up to LG now…
I owned an LG phone once. The fella actually hangs on me several times in a month & took more than 30 mins later to work again. Nope! LG is not for me. I will stick to Nokia or Sony Ericsson any day.
