Celebs And Bags #43 – Coach Kristin Zip Top Tote & Amanda Seyfried
Best known for her role as Sophie in campy hit Mamma Mia (and not much else), Amanda Seyfried was recently spotted with the Coach Kristin Zip Top Tote; one of the key pieces from the new Coach Kristin collection.
Shaped like a satchel bag (almost), the Kristin Top Zip Tote has all the DNA typical of a Coach offering. I mean, just look at it; hanging logo tag, chain-link leather/brass shoulder strap and the front flap pocket. Which is not necessarily a bad thing. Personally I like how it looks and all, and I’m always a sucker for anything soft and supple in leather.
Retailing for USD698 a pop, the 39 cm by 35 cm tote comes in 4 different colours, including Aquamarine, Plum, Brown and Black. In Singapore it retails for SGD1579 and is available in Plum and Black.

Honestly I thought about this for a long time as well too, but frankly this is how things are.
Brands here need to cover freight charges, import duties, rental, salaries and so on, including turning a profit to justify the existence of its presence in any market.
But having said that, where you choose to buy from eventually is up to you. It's just that not everyone has the luxury of travelling overseas just to shop.
You know, I've never really thought of it that way. But now it makes alot of sense.
