Bagaholicboy Muses #137 – Kid In A Candy Store

Honestly, I don’t know what I’m loving more now, the fact that I had a great time at Coach’s opening at Paragon just now, or the fact that I discovered that my DSLR has so many tricks up its sleeve. Playing around with its settings I discovered it had a digital filter, and the rest as they say is history.
The first Coach flagship in Singapore (measuring 3400 sq ft) that is modelled after their Bleecker Street boutique in New York City, looks like some penthouse apartment you’ll find off Central Park; polished, glossy and luxurious.
Spacious, brightly-lit and well-stocked, I felt like a kid in candy store. Everything was within easy reach, rows upon rows of bags, SLGs and other accessories laid out like a buffet of tantalising desserts. And that’s exactly what I wanted my snapshots to reflect, candy-coloured lovelies that look good enough to eat.
And even though I was the only blogger present I had a really good time, having had the opportunity to chat with representatives from both Coach and Valiram Group. Call it a cheap thrill if you like, but catching glimpses of Singapore’s press royalty (Nu You’s Grace Lee and Harper Bazaar’s Kenneth Goh) made my evening as well.

Check it for yourself at Paragon anytime you’re in the area. Definitely an experience worth savouring. And don’t forget to check out the limited edition Coach Parker Metallic Slim Tote and Coach Parker Metallic Small Hobo (both in Rose Gold, 50 pieces each at SGD1129 and SGD899 respectively) that were made specially to commemorate the opening.

What SLR r u using?
Kenneth is brilliant isn't he? The stuff that he art direct and style is just as a good as the western counterpart.
It's a Pentax K-7.
Yes I agree Anon. Kenneth is really good at what he does.
hi love your blog – sorry random question. Where can I find Le Sport Sac in Singapore? Thanks
Oooooh…that's a fabulous effect. I had thought they were illustrations at first glance until you mention it was a filter effect! Love it!
I need a new camera:-P
Kevin
Yeah, I thought this effect was apt for the snaps I took. Oh and before I forget. Happy birthday Kevin!
dE, Le Sportsac has their own boutique at Suntec City and a counter at Isetan Scotts.
I wouldn't have guessed that it was taken with your camera if you hadn't mentioned it. When I saw the pictures in my inbox I was smiling a little at the 'cute hand drawn images from coach'. Or at least that was what I thought.
Looking at the collection it made me feel like a little girl. Lol.
Yes indeed, and I credit it all to the wonders of technology…
