Update – Apple iPhone 3G

August 25, 2009   |   20 Comments

Finally! After many, many months of going back and forth, I finally did it. I had to justify getting it in the first place, since I was perfectly alright with my existing mobile, the Nokia E71. Then lately I realised I had been getting more calls that were related to blog matters so I thought why not get a separate line. I could use it to check emails, update my Facebook pages, and of course take calls related to blog. It was also my way of keep my work separate from blog and avoid getting distracted half the time.

And since I wanted the Apple iPhone 3G since last year, well, you put two and two together. To make things even sweeter, I paid only SGD88 for my brand-new 8GB model. Which is really fine by me. And if there is anything I should do to make my experience with my new iPhone even better, let me know ok?

One more thing. My 12th and final giveaway for B.A.G2 will start soon at my Facebook fan page. Don’t miss out!

I just noticed there's Louis Vuitton Core Values, Burberry, H&M, Gucci (and a lot more) podcasts on iTunes. Not sure if you're interested (they're just collection show videos, Ads etc), but you can subscribe to them and have them synced to your iPhone and watch them on the go, to pass those minutes waiting.

    Cool, keep those suggestions coming!

To download apps do I need to have an iTunes account? Sorry, really new at this!

  • Gregory says:

BB. To be able to download apps on your iPhone you need to have an itunes account. Which also means signing up for their mobilme service . if i'm not wrong.

Try this link for starters – http://www.apple.com/iphone/how-to/index.html#get-started.registering-iphone

As for the apps, do download iBags

Have fun with your new gadget ;p

Actually no, you can just register for an iTunes account via iTunes store. Select the correct country on the iTunes Store site (all the way at the bottom). Then follow instructions to sign up for an account.

Disadvantage is that you'd have to register your credit card with them. But no worries, nothing gets charged, and you can always set it such that you're asked before buying anything. All prices stated on iTunes Store are in USD, and will be charged to the credit card you registered.

Silly thing is that Podcasts are disabled under the Singapore iTunes Store, so you'd have to change to US before attempting to download any podcasts. Of course you can just subscribe to the podcasts, so that it automatically downloads which saves you the hassle of switching countries all the time.

MobileMe is for the online syncing services and more importantly, the Find My iPhone feature (http://www.apple.com/sg/mobileme/whats-new/)

    BB!
Dont forget to download apps from Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Style.com, etc.

    Chanel app is particularly awesome.
Features snippets of the runway shows of every season and also all the photos/lookbook of that particular season.

    Particularly useful for blogging!
