Fall-Winter 2009 Mens Loewe
I’m pleased as peas to be doing this post right now, seeing how the great Stuart Vevers has finally answered my prayers for a more comprehensive bag collection for men. From the Fall-Winter 2009 Mens Loewe collection (actually the pre-fall collection, which will be coming out pretty soon), there are at least 6 lust-worthy pieces worth breaking the piggy bank for (though there were some middling canvas totes and thin messengers that I skipped over).
First up, we’ve got the something for the traditionalists, the suede Loewe Amazona Weekender in Black (shown above).
If you need it more ‘bling’, there’s another variation of the suede Amazona Weekender in Gold.
No surprise here, the Loewe Calle is now available for men too. Slicker and longer than the ladies version, it is also more ‘subdued’ in polished grained calf leather.
And herein lies my conundrum. I’m actually quite convinced that one of these 3 gorgeous babies will be going home with me pretty soon, question is, which will it be? Will be it the Loewe Amazona Weekender in refined calf leather? When it’s open and slouchy it certainly looks like a doctor’s bag, which I love.
Then there is the Loewe Pia, which is similar to the Amazona, but with the top wide open. I do adore the belt buckle clasp closure and the small details like the leather clochette and padlock. What do I do? Oh what do I do?
And last but not least, the Loewe Anagram Weekender in Black, which appeals to the monogram-loving boy in me. Yes it’s cluttered, it’s full of Loewe’s logos, but somehow it still manages to stay regal and dignified, which are greatly helped by its gold hardware finishes.
Yes, I’m in trouble.

Hi Kit I’ve got no idea on the price just yet, but I know it measures 39″ tall, which is more than ample for a guy your height.

The Anagram Weekender is such a love.
There is another color btw.
It retails SGD 1790 for the Bigger one. Two sizes available.
The bigger one looks really “boxy” and more suitable for guys with bigger body frame. Too bad for me, but i’m still considering. Its really lovely.
