Theres also silver regular hardware for the men’s balenciaga. and the upcoming launch of Balenciaga would feature the mini giant hardware as a possible replacement for the giant hardware, and would be released in SS2012 (both silver and gold mini giant hardware).

Small gold hardware is being used in certain collections like the perforated series. And new collections of Balenciaga features new leather types such as the Papier Calf leather.

the earlier Balenciagas (circa 2005) were made of washed and distressed goatskin -chevre- which is more “smooshy” than the current lambskin leather. though they are not as resilient, i actually prefer the goats.
