The Good, The Bag And The Ugly #49 – Miu Miu Patent Cutout Basket Bag

I did not believe what I was looking at when I chanced upon the new Miu Miu Patent Cutout Basket Bag (SGD1070 or so before shipping) at Net-A-Porter. I swear my mum has something similar which she uses whenever she goes grocery shopping at the wet market. Readers from the region will know what I am talking about, since I am pretty sure their mums/aunts/grandmothers would have the same type of basket too. How practical would it be for any other purpose anyway? Wouldn’t tiny personals (say a pen or a stick of lipgloss) just fall through the holes?
I don’t get it.

WAH! MIU MIU has gone to the heartlands, hor? HAHAHAHA!
recession also cannot cut so many holes, mah. hiyo.
urgh! hideous but goes so well with the YSL mesh boots. YUK.
This is kinda amusing. I totally agree with the heartlands comment. Hahahha!
Won’t there also be tons of wastage. Tsk, save the earth!
that is seriously embarassing!
Mistake, aisle two!
You can go straight from the grocery store, to a picnic, to a night on the town (gasp!) all in the same bag!
When I saw it on the “what’s new” email, I was hoping fervently it was someone’s idea of a joke. Alas! Miu Miu has really failed with this one.
